How it works.

Family Photo Maze turns your family photos into a 3D library you walk through in a web browser. Each photo hangs in a frame, and the family adds the stories.

Three steps.

STEP 1

Make a library

Sign up with an email and a password, or with Google. Name your library and get 200 frames, a link and your owner PIN. No card needed.

STEP 2

Hang your photos

Pick a whole batch at once. Each photo goes in the next empty frame, and the plaque under it is filled from the file name or what you type.

STEP 3

Invite the family

Make a PIN for each relative and send it with the link. It opens in any browser, on a phone, tablet or computer, with nothing to install.

Walk

Walk the halls.

Move with the arrow keys, a mouse or a finger. Photos hang along the shelves with their year and caption, and the family's post-it notes show on each frame as you pass.

A photo opened with notes and a voice note

Open a photo

Notes, voices and names.

  • Record a voice note of up to a minute about any photo
  • Leave post-it notes for the rest of the family
  • Tag who is in a picture, then use Find a person to see every photo of them

Owner page

You decide who gets in.

The link alone doesn't open a library: everyone signs in with a PIN you made. Revoke a PIN any time, approve guest book entries, see who added or deleted what, and restore deleted photos for 30 days.

There is also a printable page of every photo and note, and a QR card to hand out.

The find-the-photos game

Game

Find the photos.

Return the misplaced books to the cart, find the library card and track down the photos on your list against the clock. Beat your best time or start a fresh maze.

Guided tour

Lead the way.

Walk to your favourite photos and record a voice clip at each stop. Relatives press Take the guided tour and are moved through the library for them. There is also a family tree wall, milestones, a guest book, a TV slideshow and memorial mode.
